How to cook in Animal Crossing: New Horizons? To be able to cook, you first need basic equipment consisting of an oven and ingredients.
These are the kitchen surfaces: Even before the upgrade, there were different ovens and kitchen niches in Animal Crossing. These now get the new feature you can cook on them. If you do not already have such furniture, you can either make it yourself with the appropriate instructions or buy it in the Nook shop.

Instructions +: If you have everything together and have downloaded update 2.0, then you should turn to the service center. An update for your instructional application awaits you at the Nook portal for 2000 Nook miles. This becomes Instructions + and then also contains recipes. Only now can you cook.
If you don’t have a kitchen, you can make one yourself.
Basic Cooking Recipes: With the new app Instructions + you get some recipes directly. You can also buy another cookbook with some delicious and sweet dishes for Sternis in Nook’s shop.
