A cake for all occasions? Our egg cake out of the can with chips always causes excitement.

A visitor spontaneously announced and you would like to evoke a cake in a hurry? Then bring out the good egg and let’s go! You will definitely have all the other ingredients in stock.

Ingredients for about 12 pieces:

  • For the sprays
  • 100 grams of butter
  • 225 grams of flour
  • 50 grams of sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • For the batter
  • 4 eggs
  • 180 grams of sugar
  • 200 grams of butter; and by the form
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 400 grams of flour
  • 2 teaspoons baking
  • 200 ml each
  • besides that
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar

Approximately per serving:

  • 525 calories
  • 65 grams of carbohydrates
  • 8 grams of protein
  • 24 grams of fat

Prepare time:

  • 45 minutes (plus 40 minutes of baking)

And here’s how it’s done:


  1. Preheat the oven to 175 degrees circulating air. Cover a baking tray (approx. 25 x 30 cm) with baking paper. Melt the butter for the chips. Put the flour, sugar and vanilla sugar in a bowl and mix. Gradually add the butter, using your fingers to mix and crumble to form chips. Chill sprinkles.
  2. Separate the eggs for the batter. Beat the egg whites with 50 g sugar until stiff. Cream the butter with the remaining sugar, vanilla sugar and salt. Gradually add the egg yolks. Mix flour with baking powder, sift and mix into the foamy dough with the egg yolk.
  3. Finally insert the beaten egg whites. Pour the dough onto the baking sheet and smooth. Sprinkle with the crumble and bake in the hot oven for 35 to 40 minutes until lightly browned (stick test). Take out of the oven and let cool. To serve, sprinkle lightly with powdered sugar and cut into 12 pieces.
